Successful Start for EMAL Football Tournament

Kicked off on Saturday the 30th of November the matches of EMAL Football Tournament for Schools, hosted by Al Jazira Club, sponsored by Emirates Aluminum Company EMAL, and technically organized by Espana Football Academy; within the program of EMAL to reinforce its communication with the community generally, and specially to encourage the kids and youth to embrace sports as lifestyle and method for better future.
 
The first day matches played in Al Jazira outdoor pitches with participation of more than 350 children representing 24 schools; the teams has been divided into four groups, the first and second teams of every group will qualify for the quarter final round, then to the semi-finals, then to the final match.
 
Mr. Miteb Matar Al Mazrooei, executive of the social relations in EMAL, spoke to www.jc.ae about his impressions for the first day, he said “the presence of the students in the first day was beyond our expectations, and increased our optimist by a great success to this first tournament we sponsor for schools football. The hosting and the organization were ideal, which is expected from a great club like Al Jazira, and also from their sports partners Espana Academy”.
 
Al Mazrooei added “the performance was great and the sportsmanship was present in every match, and this is exactly what we are looking for, and what we want to establish during the matches of this tournament. We want the students to realize that sport is not about just winning, but what matters the most is the importance of the teamwork, and the fair competition, and to put the individual abilities under the service of the group”.
 
He finished his comments by assuring that they will expand their social activities for beyond Abu Dhabi to cover the whole UAE. 



Mr. Mario Luna the General Manager of Espana Academy, expressed his happiness about what he saw of great technical levels and very promising talents from the players who represented their schools in the first day. He also said that he is very happy to see the families and the children having their sports kits and their meals and drinks smoothly and continuously during the matching hours. And didn’t forget to thank Al Jazira and EMAL for hosting and sponsoring this tournament and wished best of luck for all the participated parts.
