Al Ain 2 : 0 Al Jazira. The Match Summary

News 30 Oct. 2015
Al Ain continued at the top of the Arabian Gulf League table with a 2-0 derby win over Al Jazira in Round 7. Goals from Lee Myung Joo and Fellipe Bastos were the difference at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, giving Al Ain a three-point cushion at the top of the table on 18, whilst Al Jazira’s inconsistent start showed no sign of improving as they stay on 8 points.
An end-to-end start to the game saw some fantastic build-up play from Omar Abdulrahman to set up Fellipe Bastos for a 20th-minute strike from distance, but the shot soared over the crossbar. Five minutes later Thiago Neves dragged an effort wide at the other end, as the pace was set for the first half with a number of wayward chances leading to a goalless score line at the interval.
Into the second half Omar Abdulrahman finally managed to find the target with a strike, but Ali Khaseif made a strong one-handed save to turn it behind for a corner in the 50th minute. Just three minutes later, though, the breakthrough was finally made and it was a wonderful team effort to put Al Ain in front; Emmanuel Emenike laying the ball off to Omar Abdulrahman, whose perfect one-two created the goal for Lee Myung Joo to finish. The 78th minute saw a trademark Fellipe Bastos free kick heading on target, but Ali Khaseif got a strong left hand to it to concede another corner as Al Ain sought to extend their lead, and it was not until the 3rd minute of stoppage time that they added a second goal; Fellipe Bastos netting a left-footed cross-goal finish to round off a deserved 2-0 victory.
