Al Jazira Finishes the Preparation for the Derby in Al Wahda

Al Jazira Football Team has finished their preparations for their next match in the seventh round of the Arabian Gulf League against Al Wahda, which will be played in Al Nahyan Stadium at Saturday 23rd of November.
The team kept training twice a day for the last days, to increase the physical fitness to its ideal levels, and also to enhance to concentration and the unison between the players, with special training created by the Italian Walter Zenga and went under his close supervision.
Walter Zenga worked in the last session with a almost full squad, missing only the injured duo Salim Masoud and Yaqub Al Hosani; and Yasir Matar who received condolences upon his on the pass away of his brother Ibrahim, who passed away on the morning of last Wednesday.
The session started from the gymnasium as the players prepared for the training with the fitness coach and the physiotherapist. The players and their coaching staff went to the pitch and worked there on different offensive and defensive tactics; Mabkhout and Ismail went with Barrada and other players under special fitness training; while Ali Khaseif joined Al Senani and Al Shabibi in their work with the goalkeeper coach.
In the last part of the session the players has been divided into two groups and played an inside match; the first group led by Ricardo Oliveira who will miss Al Wahda match for suspension, and the second led by Nelson Valdez, who recovered totally from his thigh injury and waiting the coach final decision about his participation in the derby.
Al Jazira is in the 5th place in the league table with 9 points, only 1 point above Al Wahda who is the 8th place. Saturday derby will be the first three derbies between Abu Dhabi giants, the first will be on Saturday as part of the first round of the league, the second will be part of the second round; and the third derby will be in the last week of the UAE League Cup.
Saturday derby will be of particular importance to Walter Zenga and Jose Peseiro; the Italian needs the 3 points to overcome the frustration of the last defeat the team suffered against Bani Yas in the cup, and to confirm that the big victory against Al Ain was well deserved. In the other side, the derby will be the first official match for the Portuguese coach, who took charge of his team after the last match against Al Sharjah that Al Wahda lost it by one goal, which means the Peseiro will be eager to get a win in the team home, and for his first match.
