Al Jazira gets Ready to Face Al Shaab on the Cup

Al Jazira football team has conducted on the first sub-pitch at the club their main training session for their opening match of 2013 – 2014 season, which will be against Al Shaab, kicking off at 17:50 Tuesday 3rd of September, in the first round of the Pro League Cup at Al Sharjah stadium.
The team kept training on daily basis after they came from the European training camp in Germany and Switzerland. Coach Luis Milla and his assistants ran the session and worked with all players except the international trio Ali Khaseif, Khamis Ismail and Ali Mabkhout which are with the national team in Riyadh KSA, and the injured Khalid Sabil, and also the Moroccan playmaker Abdelaziz Barrada trained with the group although he will not be available for the match because he will join his national team.
The session started with the usual warm ups, then the coach supervised a mini match which the players work on it on defensive and offensive tactics, and also trained on crossings and set pieces, in the last part of the session the coach gathered the players at the center and lectured them about the session, and finally they did their usual muscle stretching trainings before leaving the pitch.
 
Luis Milla: Winng is Our Only Choice
Spanish coach of Al Jazira team Luis Milla stressed that he will play their opening match of the new season against Al Shaab with only the win on their mind, though he admitted their opponent is strong and much disciplined defensively.
Speaking before Sunday training session, Milla expressed his satisfaction about the preparations for the new season and specifically for Al Shaab match on the pro League match, and though he admitted that the team still need to improve on some aspects of their style and to reach the ideal fitness of competitive matches, Milla said he is totally trusting his players to show the right mentality and fighting spirit to play this complicated match and win it.
The coach also explained he still remember that Al Shaab went through some difficult moments during last season, but now they prepared good for next one, and they improved defensively as they accepted very a few  goals during the friendly matches they played last weeks. The coach also said he knows that Al Shaab squad has so many talented players and they are always capable of causing problems to any opponent, so they in Al Jazira needs to play carefully and with their full concentration.
Milla also admitted that playing the opening match of the season outside Mohammed bin Zayed stadium will deprive them of the fans motivation and support, but the professionalism and the positive attitude of his players will help the team to overcome this factor go back to Abu Dhabi with the three points.
Spanish manager refuse to consider the cup tournament as a second or third on his priorities, and this is why he will play against Al Shaab with his best available starting lineup; he also said that they think only about next match, he confirmed that his players are ready physically and mentally to play this match and they will not be affected by the loss of the absentees, and the team will maintain his character by keeping the ball and controlling the match and defense collectively and be patient on attack and creating goal scoring chances.
Finally Milla named their group in the cup, which has put Al Jazira, Al Ain, Al Wahda, Bani Yas, Al Sharjah, Al Shaab and Dubai, as the stronger group, he stressed that the fighting for the two qualifying spots will not be only between Al Jazira, Al Ain and Al Wahda, as all the teams will start from zero and fight for their chances, and in Al Jazira, their only aim will be to qualify as leader of this group.
 
Khalid Al Senani: We Will Fight for Every Point
Al Jazira goalkeeper Khalid Al Senani said that he and his teammates are eager to play the first official competitive match on the new season 2013 – 2014, and defend Al Jazira jersey against Al Shaab at Tuesday on the first round of the Pro League Cup.
Khalid insisted that all the players are looking forward to get in the pitch on Tuesday evening, but they know the coach will only choose 11 players and they will always respect his decisions and do their best to help the team from outside or inside the pitch.
The second goalkeeper who will probably start against Al Shaab due to the absence of Ali Khaseif, said that they benefited greatly from IPIC Cup and the European training camp, and now they are totally ready to fight for every ball and every possible point, and promised the fans on behalf of his teammates that they will do more than their best to celebrate the trophies with them at the end of the seaon.
