Al Jazira Introduces The Two Foreign Players

Abu Dhabi: 17 January 2014
Al Jazira Football Company presented the first football team new foreign players, the Brazilian Jucilei Da Silva who came from Anzhi Makhachkaha, and the Ecuadorian Felipe Caicedo from Lukomotiv Moscow, this is during a press conference held in the morning of Friday 17 January in the club.
Jucilei registered in the team sheet instead of the Brazilian Ricardo Oliveira with 3 year and half contract, while Caicedo contract length is 3 years and registered instead of the Paraguayan Nelson Valdez.
Mr. Ali Al Nuaimi the spokesman of Al Jazira Football Company has managed the conference, he welcomed the media representatives and thanked them for attending the conference, and presented Mr. Ayed Mabkhout, the first team director to speak about the new signings.
Ayed welcomed again the media and also welcomed the new players, and wished them luck in their new career with Al Jazira.
He admitted that the players has arrived in a complicated time considering the short gap between the league matches and considering that the team is coming close to the kickoff is his campaign in Asia Champions League. but he explained that this duo have great experience and abilities and this will help them to adjust themselves quickly with their new teammates, and with the new atmosphere in UAE, and the Arabian Gulf League competition. He also wished that the team could get a positive result in their next match against Al Wasl to help the new players start their new adventure with positive mental status.
Mabkhout revealed that the company is studying now some offers for Ricardo Oliveira, and did not forget to thank the Brazilian for what he offered to Al Jazira during his time in Mohamed bin Zayed stadium.

Jucilei: Am Happy to Join Al Jazira
In the second part of the conference, Ali Al Nuaimi presented the new players the Brazilian Jucilei Da Silva, who expressed his happiness for joining Al Jazira, and explained that he have good background about the team and about the nature of the competition in UAE. He insisted that he is looking forward to give his best to help the team achieving their goals for this season.
Da Silva thanked the team management and his teammates for the warm welcome they offered for him and for their support during the latest training sessions he participated in; and assured that this great atmosphere will help him to give his best for the team in the next matches.
Caicedo: I Preferred Al Jazira Over Valencia
In his turn, the Ecuadorian Felipe Caicedo expressed his happiness with signing for Al Jazira, and explained that he didn’t spend too much time thinking and accepted Al Jazira offer although he received good offer from the Spanish team Valencia.
Felipe explained that he preferred Al Jazira because their offer because it provided stability for him, which is more important than the financial side for him. He also explained that signing 3 years contract proves that the club is intending for a long-term partnership between the two sides.
The national attacker explained that he have a good background about Al Jazira and UAE football competitions, and said that the points difference in the league table this season indicates that there is too much competition between the teams.
Caicedo refused to agree that joining Al Jazira would affect his national career negatively; he insisted that playing consistently and scoring goals would guarantee him a regular place in the first national team. He also stressed that UAE league and Al Jazira specifically have good reputation in Europe after great players wore their jersey, like Mathias Delgado, Ricardo Oliveira and Abdulaziz Barrada, and after they managed by well-known coaches like Abel Braga and Walter Zenga.
Jucilei takes the No. 11, Caicedo the 30
In the last part of the conference, the two players took memorial pictures with their new shirts; the Brazilian will wear the shirt no. 11, while the Ecuadorian will take no. 30.
