Al Jazira Kicks Off the Preparations for Al Ain

Abu Dhabi: 22 December 2013
The First Football team starts preparing for their next league match, by two training sessions held on the morning and evening of Sunday the 22nd of December, in the first sub-pitch in the club. The match will be against Al Ain in the 12th week of the Arabian Gulf Pro League in MBZ Stadium at Friday the 27th of December.
The coach gave his players 2 days off after the match they win against Bani Yas at last Thursday, and the training sessions resumed starting from last Sunday until the day before the match.
Coach Walter Zenga worked in Sunday session with all the players, except the injured duo Salim Masoud and Yaqub Al Hosani. The midfielder Khamis Ismail worked normally, along Ali Mabkhout who recovered from his injury and participated in almost 30 minutes of Bani Yas match; and Nelson Valdez, who missed the last match due to suspension, but now he is one his coach’s choices for the next match.
The morning session ran in the gymnasium under the supervision of the fitness coach and the physiotherapist, and it aimed to recover the full physical readiness for the players after the 2 days off they had.
At evening, the players prepared for the training from inside the gymnasium, before they headed to the training field with their coach and his assistants; they worked on applying different defensive and offensive tactics, short passes and long and short shooting. The goalkeeper worked separately with their coach, then they joined their match in the inner match, that saw a great seriousness and great spirit from all players.
Al Ain will be welcomed in MBZ as the 6 place team in the league table, with 18 points from 5 wins, 3 draws and also 3 defeats. Meanwhile, Al Jazira will start this derby as the 4th team, with 19 points from 5 victories, 4 draws and 2 defeats.
