Al Jazira will remain Second in their Asian Group

News
April: 14 April 2014

Al Jazira is preparing to play against their next opponents and hosts Al Rayyan in Doha next Thursday with their eyes sets only on winning the three points, to put one foot in the 16th round, and to avoid any complicated calculations when they play the last match in the group stage against Saudi Al Shabab on the 23rd of this month.

Al Jazira is in the second place in group A with 7 points, 2 points behind Al Shabab the leaders, and 3 points ahead of Esteghlal the third, and 4 points ahead of Al Rayyan the last in the group.

The probabilities of the results of round 5 matches, which will be played next Thursday, assures that Al Jazira will remain second by the end of match-day 5, except of one probability that may take them to the first place, and other one that may drag them to the third.

Probability No.1:
Al Jazira lose, Rayyan win, Shabab win, Esteghlal lose:

By applying this Probability Al Shabab will raise their credit to the 12th points in the first place, Al Jazira will remain second with their 7 points, Al Rayyan though will jump to the third place with 6 points and Esteghlal will drop to the last place.

Probability No.2:
Al Jazira lose, Rayyan win, Shabab lose, Esteghlal win

By applying this Probability Al Shabab will still be the first with 9 points, Al Jazira will also still second, but Esteghlal will join them in this place as they will reach the 7th point, and Al Rayyan will still last even after they reach the 6 points.

In this case Al Jazira will drop to the third position if they lose from Al Rayyan with 3-0, or if Esteghlal won over Al Shabab with 3-0 and Al Jazira lose to Rayyan with any result.

Probability No.3:
Jazira win, Rayyan lose, Shabab win, Esteghlal lose

By applying this Probability the four teams will be in their positions in the table, with Al Shabab reaching their 12th point in the top, and Al Jazira as second with 10 points; Esteghlal will remain 3rd with 4 points and Al Rayyan in the bottom with 3 points.

Probability No.4:
Jazira win, Rayyan lose, Shabab lose, Esteghlal win

By applying this Probability Al Jazira will climb to their first position with 10 points, Al Shabab will drop to the second with their 9 points, and even though Esteghlal will reach the 7th point they will still be third, and Al Rayyan will stick to their last place.

Probability No.5:
Jazira lose, Rayyan win, Shabab draw with Esteghlal

By applying this Probability Al Shabab will be leading this group with 10 points, Al Jazira will remain second with 7 points but Al Rayyan will jump to the third position with 6 points and will revive their chances in qualification, and Esteghlal will drop to the last place with 5 points.

Probability No.6:
Jazira win, Rayyan lose, Shabab draw, Esteghlal draw

By applying this Probability Al Jazira will share the first spot with Al Shabab with 10 points to each and only goal difference will separate between them; Esteghlal will remain third even if they increase their credit to 5 points, and Al Rayyan will remain last by 3 points.

Probability No.7:
Jazira draw, Rayyan draw, Shabab win, Esteghlal lose

By applying this Probability Al Shabab will goal away on top with 12 points, Al Jazira will remain second but with 8 points; and Esteghlal will be equaled by Rayyan with 4 points to each and only goal difference will separate between them.

Probability No.8:
Jazira draw, Rayyan draw, Shabab lose, Esteghlal win

By applying this Probability the four teams will hold their places in the table, Al Jazira will narrow the gap between them and Al Shabab to one point as they will reach the 8th point, and Esteghlal will be close to Al Jazira as they will reach their 7th point, and although they will add the 4th point to their credit, they will still be last in the group.

Probability No.9:
Jazira draw, Rayyan draw, Shabab draw, Esteghlal draw

By applying this Probability nothing will change in the table ranking, as all the teams will raise their credit with only one point to each.

By looking back to the above probabilities, Al Jazira will jump to the first place if the probability no.1 occurred, and they will drop back to third if probability no. 2 occurred with its two conditions; meanwhile, all the other probabilities will keep Al Jazira in the second spot until the last round of group stage.
