Al Jazira wins the Last Friendly on the European Camp

By one goal, Al Jazira football team won their friendly match against Qatari team Al Gharafa on Sunday 25th of August, which was their last friendly on the European preparatory camp in Switzerland and Germany.
This win was the third for Al Jazira as they won their first friendly on Switzerland against Lausanne FC, and also beat German Ingolustdat 04 by two goals to one, and then got a one goal win against the reserves of Al Sharjah. The team will leave Nurnberg at Monday 26th and arrive to Abu Dhabi at Tuesday 27th of August at 06:45 morning.
The performance of two teams was strong and serious and tactically disciplined, which led to lack of scoring chances at both ends, the two team shared the overall possession, as Al Gharafa controlled most of the first half, while Al Jazira controlled the second one.
Luis Milla choose to start the match Ali Khaseif, Jumaa Abdullah, Musallam Fayez, Salim Masoud, Abduallah Musa, Khamis Ismail, Subait Khater, Sultan Barghash, Ali Mabkhout, Nelson Valdez and Ricardo Oliveira. On the other hand, Brazilian coach Zico relied on his usual 11 leaded by Anderson Nene, Mark Bresciano and Lisando Lopez.
Al Gharafa was the better team at the first half, they controlled the match by easy movement of the ball from the backlines to the front using the quick passes and direct moves, while Al Jazira players were nervous, and it was obvious when Subait Khater received a yellow card since the 4th minute of the first half.
The main theme of this half was the continuous threatening of Al Gharafa attackers to Al Jazira goal, but the brilliant keeper Ali Khaseif denied them many chances, as the close one when Lopez headed the ball from a very distance point.
The tempo slowed as the the first 25 minutes passed, the two teams tried to control the match but the advantage was for Al Gharafa, Ali Mabkhout got a yellow card for a foul against Nene, a free kick awarded for Nene but Ali Khaseif was there to save his team again. Al Jazira was shy at attacking and they made their only serious thread when Oliveira faced the goal and shot at the keeper’s body.
In the second half Al Jazira was improved because of the calm and concentration at positioning and moving, and before the first five minutes passed, Abdullah Jumaa crossed the ball toward Al Gharafa box, while he was trying to block it, Qatari defender Mustafa Abdu put the ball inside the net and gave Al Jazira their advantage on score.
Although Al Gharafa moved aggressively toward the goal to equalize the score, Al Jazira players kept their concentration and the set the game tempo. After the first 15 minutes passed, Al Gharafa coach replaced almost his squad, and this resulted in confusion among his players, Al Jazira used this to their best and they were very close to score the second, but Salim Masoud converted Yasir Matar cross to the hands of the Qatari goalkeeper. Al Jazira kept setting the match and they were the better team until the referee blow his whistle to end the second half and the match.
