Al Jazira Writes Another Epic Comeback at Al Shabab Stadium

Al Jazira football team managed to come from a goal down to a great 4 goals victory against their hosts Al Shabab, in the match that has been held in Maktoum bin Rashid stadium in Dubai as part of the third round of Arabian Gulf League. 
 
Luis Milla started the match with Ali Khaseif, Salim Masoud, Jumaa Abdullah, Musallem Fayez and Salim Ali; Khamis Ismail, Sultan Barghash, Abdelaziz Barrada and Abdullah Qasim; Ricardo Oliveira and Ali Mabkhout.
 
In the opening minute Ali Mabkhout asked for a penalty after he has been tackled inside the area, but the referee kept the play going, and again, Al Jazira failed to keep their net clean in the first minutes and accepted an early goal scored in the 6th minute by Adeilson Pereira.
 
This time the early goal didn’t make Al Jazira players lose their concentration, they organized their lines and start patiently look for the equalizer, the following minutes saw the ball moving in the midfield area with a very rare goal scoring chances, and Salim Masoud received a yellow card for a foul against Nasir Masoud.
 
After the first 30 minutes passed, Al Jazira players rushed forward to equalize the score before the end of first half, and they’ve got what they want when Abdullah Qasim send cross received by Ricardo Oliveira who chested the ball to Barrada, and the Moroccan put it calmly in the right side of Al Shabab goalkeeper to give his team an important equalizer at minute 41.
 
The same players who ended the first half started the second one, and with the same attitude as Oliveira and Mabkhout breaks and runs caused a lot of problems to Al Shabab defenders, the brilliant Abdullah Qasim sent a pass to Mabkhout and the lethal no. 7 got the ball and put it in the far corner from the goalkeeper who failed to do anything except watching it embracing his net at 50th minute.
 
After they had their advantage, Al Jazira controlled the midfield area and set the tempo of the match as they want; Hamdan Qasim got a yellow card for a harsh tackle on Sultan Barghas who has been replaced immediately with Yasir Matar at 64th minute.
 
Al Jazira didn’t sat back to maintain their win, they kept searching for more goals and Barrada put the goal behind the goalkeeper but the referee cancelled the goal for suspicious offline. Ali Mabkhout make it up for Al Jazira fans when received another smart pass from the amazing Abdullah Qasim and struck it strongly between Al Shabab goalkeeper legs and gave his teammates and their fans their third goal at 77th minutes.
 
Mabkhout appetite was at its highest, he faced Al Shabab goal but the keeper blocked him, his Moroccan teammate took back the scoring responsibility from him and used Oliveira crossing pass to score his second and Al Jazira fourth goal at 82nd minute.
 
Milla decided to reward Qasim with storm of applause from the fans, as he replaced him with Khalid Butti at 83rd minute; Yasir Matar shot the ball from a free kick but his ball went away.
 
The last minutes saw a dramatic events, the referee sent Ali Mabkhout with a direct red card for what he thought a reckless challenge, he added 3 minutes as an extra time and Al Shabab managed in its first one to score their second goal.
 
Al Jazira maintain their advantage until Mohammed Abdullah Hassan blew his whistle and ended the match with Al Jazira winning Al Shabab by 4 goals to 2. The team climbed the table to second place behind the leader Al Ahli and over Al Shababa and Al Sharjah with the goals difference.
