The assistant coach of Al Jazira, Harrie Decheiver, admitted to the media that his team will miss their goal machine Ali Mabkhout in the next league match against Al Wasl, and he insisted that the replacements has what it takes to help the team in this important match.

Speaking in the pre match press conference, Decheiver said “The spirit is high in our camp after we broke the bad results series and achieved a well-deserved victory against Al Dhafra in the last round. The preparations for Al Wasl match are going as it should be, and I believe that we will be ready physically and mentally when the time comes. Ali Mabkhout will miss the match after the Federation decided to reject our appeal, and of course we will miss him also because he offers us more solutions, but we trust all of our players, and the replacements for Mabkhout has what it takes to help the team in this important match”.

“The absence of Caio Canedo will affect Al Wasl of course, but we are also missing Mabkhout, so no team will have the advantage over their opponents regarding this matter. Al Jazira have a very good squad, and players like Ahmed Al Attas and Zayed Al Ameri can give the team the necessary power in the attack, and we trust them completely to do the job for us against Al Wasl”, he added.

The assistant explained that the goal of the team is to stay in the winning path and to keep collecting points, he said “We expect a very tough and complicated match against Al Wasl because they want to rebound from their last defeat to Al Wahda and they will desperately try to win over us to stay close to the top of the league. Al Jazira on the other side is looking to build up over the last victory, and our goal for this period is to keep winning matches and collecting triple points”.
