The manager revealed that he is happy about the continuous improvement in his team’s performance ahead of the home game against Sharjah on Saturday, and insisted that his players are having a lot of room to improve even further.

Keizer spoke to the media yesterday about the ongoing preparations for the highly anticipated match against the league leaders Sharjah. He said, “They are going through positive phase recently, winning 12 points out of their 4 league games and leading the table, and they have players upfront with special qualities. As I am always saying, I only focus on my own team, and my team is good now because we are always improving and because we have the required qualities and the necessary knowledge to perform like what we are doing now and even better. We believe in ourselves and in our chances to win Saturday’s night game, which am sure will be enjoyable for the viewers at home”.

“Both teams will try to attack and create scoring chances, they have good players in the attack and we have Mabkhout, Zayed, Khalfan and the others. I like how we improved in the middle with possession and smart passes, and I also like how we defend, and I know we can improve even further in the future,” he added.

“Amoory will miss Sharjah game, and the medical team is monitoring the situation with Ahmed Fawzi and Abdulrahman Al Ameri, so we will wait until the last hours before taking decisions regarding the lineup of the game”.

The coach discussed the reasons behind putting many young players in the match lineups, and explained “I am not giving chances to players because they are young, am putting them in the lineup because they proved they deserve to play and they can help the team. We don’t care about age or nationality, we care about working hard in the training field and matches only”.

Zayed Al Ameri promised to keep fighting for his place in the team and refused to take what he is getting recently for granted. “I learn a lot and on daily basis from players like Mabkhout and Khalfan, and am glad that I am improving and playing constantly but I will not take this for granted. I know that I should always work harder and fight to keep playing because the positive competition in the team is always there. I will give my best in any position the manager decides for me,” he said.
