Keizer: Our game against Al Wasl is important for both teams

Abu Dhabi: Apr. 2, 2021
Marcel Keizer is confident his international players can be 100% physically fit to give their best possible performance when they meet their guests Al Wasl at the Mohamed bin Zayed tomorrow as part of matchweek 23 of the Arabian Gulf League.
Al Jazira started the preparations for this game ten days ago, but they missed Ali Khaseif, Salim Rashid, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Mohamed Al Attas, Abdullah Ramadan, Khalfan Mubarak, Zayed Al Ameri, and Ali Mabkhout, who were with the UAE National team in Dubai for a ten days training camp, and they joined Al Jazira training only 2 days ahead of the important fixture against Zabeel wolves.
“We started preparing for this game 10 days but we missed eight important players, so we focused mainly on the physical side of the team, now after the internationals returned we can step up the preparations and work intensively on the tactical aspects to be fully ready to face Al Wasl”, said Marcel while peaking to the media during the pre-match pressure.
“They returned with some physical problems so we will have to wait until the last hours before the game to take the final decision about the lineup. Khalifa and Zayed picked some minor injuries in the national team camp, and the others will not participate in the full training session with us because they played against India. Anyway, I am confident that everyone will recover in the right time and the whole group will be fit and ready to give their best on Saturday”.
“The improvement in Al Wasl is very clear, and it was obvious during the last couple of games, and the match against them will very important for the both team regardless of the positions in the league standing. We will focus only on ourselves, and we know very well that the remaining league games will be only about wins and complete points, so I know we will do our utmost best to win them all and we will see where we will be by the end of the season”.
“I enjoy working with Ali Mabkhout on a daily basis because he is very talented and exceptional player. His special talent helped this season him to exceed his role as striker and turned him into a very good playmaker and goals creator. He is lucky to have such creative players behind him, and they are also lucky because he always help them in every possible way”.
