Knee Injury Ends Yaqub Al Hosani Season

The results of the extensive and intensive medical tests that conducted on Yaqub Al Hosani revealed that the injury that he suffered in the match against Dubai has ended his season with his team Al Jazira.
Speaking to, Dr. Mohammed Al Tarshan, the first football team physician explained that Yaqub had the injury after a collision with one of Dubai players at 51st minute, medical staff decided that the player will not carry on and he has been replaced by his teammate Hamid Bilal.
Dr. Al Tarshan continued to say that the player went under a long and intensive medical tests, and the results confirmed that the player is suffering from a cut in the anterior cruciate ligament and a second degree torn in the cartilage at his right knee.
The treatment of this injury will start with a three weeks recovery program to reduce the tumor and the infection, and after that the player will go under a surgery, and will be sidelined for 6 to 8 months, and that makes his chances of playing again in this season is nearly impossible.
Yaqub joined Al Jazira in the last summer signing window coming from Al Ain, and his coach Luis Milla kept relying on him on regular basis at the league and cup matches, he participated in the six matches Al Jazira played this season, he was a starter at 4 of them and at 2 as substitute.
