Ten Cate: Al Jazira Players Will Fight Like Lions to Honor their Country

Henk Ten Cate, the manager of Al Jazira team, insisted that his players will fight like lions against Auckland City when they face them tomorrow at the Hazza bin Zayed stadium in the opening match of the FIFA Club World Cup 2017.
 
Speaking in the pre match press conference, the coach said “We are eagerly waiting for this difficult and important match, we know Auckland City has better experience because they are participating regularly in this tournament, but we are physically and mentally ready to give our best tomorrow, and I hope the stadium will be filled by the UAE fans, because they are always giving the players an extra motivation”.
 
“We went through a lot of difficult moments in the beginning of this season because we missed some important players due to complicated injuries, but we are lucky because Al Jazira have the best youth academy in the UAE, and am very proud with the young players in my squad because they are always fighting in every training session to gain my trust and to get more playing minutes, and I love this kind of attitude in my team”, the manager added.
 
Ten Cate insisted that his players are not thinking about the possibility of facing the Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are participating in the World Cup as champions of Europe, and he said “playing in the FIFA Club World Cup is a unique and extraordinary experience, and Al Jazira is looking forward to face the elite of the global football clubs, but at this point we are only thinking of Auckland City, not Real Madrid or any other opponent, because we respect Auckland, and because we focus only in the next game”.
 
The Dutchman concluded his statements in the conference by praising his players ahead of tomorrow historical game, he added “I will be very proud of my players regardless the result of tomorrow match against Auckland, because they overcame a lot of difficulties and complicated situations and took the team back to the right path in the league, and am very sure that they will fight like lions on every ball tomorrow, and they will not stop running until they get the result they want, with all the respect to our opponent”.
