Ten Cate: We Are Looking for a Mental Victory against Al Nasr

Abu Dhabi: January 27, 2018
As the team prepares for the next league match against Al Nasr, the manager Henk Ten Cate, held a press conference today to discuss the preparations and the current situation of Al Jazira in the league. Here are the highlights of what the coach and his youngster said to the media
Tough Match against Al Nasr
“We know we will have a very tough and complicated match against Al Nasr at their ground next Monday, and we are doing our best to prepare properly for this game, despite the negative atmosphere in the dressing room after the disappointing draw against Dibba last week. We needed the 3 points against Dibba to recover our confidence but we lacked the necessary concentration to maintain our lead until the last whistle, and now we will try again and harder to achieve a mental victory against Al Nasr because we need it desperately to go back to the right path”.
Injuries List and Missing Players
“The compact schedule of fixtures after the FIFA World Cup led to the current situation and prevented us from using our finest players in the last weeks. Now we are missing injured trio Fares Jumaa, Salem Rashid and Khalifa Al Hammadi against Al Nasr, and Ali Mabkhout who is suspended by the federation. We will evaluate our options carefully in the upcoming hours before taking any decision regarding the squad list for Monday game”.
The Way Back to the Right Path
“We need to retrieve our positivity, our strong will and our winning mentality now, and we have to fight in Al Aweer againt Al Nasr to leave that stadium with the 3 points. Al Nasr is also desperate for those points so we need to be the better side, and we have to fight harder and concentrate always and to avoid any naïve mistakes, because these are the only tools we can use to go back to the right path in the league”.
