Henk Ten Cate, the head coach of the first team, held a press conference today to answer the media questions about the preparations for the next league match against Al Dhafra. Here are the highlights of what the coach said to the media.

Preparations for the Next Match

“Am satisfied about the preparations for the next game, and happy for the players because they’re in a very good mental status and did a very good job during the last couple of training sessions, and I told them the only way to overcome this complicated period is by keeping the morals high and by giving 200% in the training field and during the matches also. We did some changes in our tactical methods and the players adapted very well to these changes, we also welcomed back Mohamed Al Attas and Khalifa Al Hammadi to the group, and I can say we are ready for the game. We respect Al Dhafra regardless their position in the league table, and we have all what it takes to perform well against them and to fight for the three points”.

Believe in the Players and the Team

“I have complete trust in my players, and I never lost my faith in them even after all these bad results, and I still believe that we can, as one team, pass this negative run and restore our winning memory, and am very sure that my players are feeling the same about me. Al Jazira squad consists of great experienced players and a very talented youngsters who always adds more to the group, and the chance of playing will always goes to whom who deserves it, without any consideration to his age or nationality”.
