The Pride of Abu Dhabi Finishes the Preparations for the Clasico

Al Jazira first football team has finished their preparations for their anticipated match against Al Ain in the Clasico of Abu Dhabi, which will be played in Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at the night of Friday the 27th of December, as part of the 12th round of the Arabian Gulf League.
 
The team had their last training session for this match in the first sub-pitch at the night of Thursday, guided by the Italian boss Walter Zenga and his assistants, and witnessed by the members of Al Jazira Football Company Board of Directors, and with all the players participating, except for the injured ones.
 
The fitness coach and the physiotherapists prepared the players for the training session from inside the gymnasium, the players then headed with their coaches to the training field, where they trained on quick and short passing under pressure, and on scoring from crosses and blocking it. They finished the session by listening to a short lecture from their coach, then they left the training field.
 
Al Jazira Absentees:
 
Missing Friday match from Al Jazira is the long-term injured duo Salim Masoud and Yaqub Al Hosani. Meanwhile Ali Mabkhout and Khamis Ismail are still under intensive physical evaluation by the medical staff and their participation against Al Ahli will be decided before the match with a few hours. The defensive duo Musallem Fayez and Abdullah Musa will miss the match for suspension, as both of them get their third yellow card during the last league match against Bani Yas.

The home team, Al Jazira, is in the 4th place in the league table, with 19 points collected from 5 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats, they scored 21 goals and accepted 17.
 
Al Ain, the guest team, is in 6th place, only one point behind Al Jazira, with 18 points collected from 5 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats, they scored 27 goals and accepted 20.
 


 
Scenario of the Last Match:
 
Al Jazira was the winner of their last match against Al Ain, it was on the UAE League Cup in Al Nahyan Stadium at the 7th of last November.
 
The first half of that match ended with Al Jazira trailing by one goal scored by Ibrahim Diake in the 37th minute. In the second half, Ricardo Oliveira equalized the score then put Al Jazira in front with two goals in the 78th and 85th minutes, before the substitute Yasir Matar added the third goal in the third extra minute.
