Abu Dhabi: 3 October 2013

The Paraguayan attacker of the team, Nelson Valdez expressed his urgent desire to be 100% fit for the next match against Ajman in the 4th round of Arabian Gulf League, after he revealed during an interview with Al Khaleej newspaper.

Valdez revealed that he is working daily and intensively with the team physician and fitness coach to maintain his physical fitness level at its possible best, and said that he is eager to join his teammates in the trainings and convince his coach that he’s capable to play and help the team in the next match.

Valdez refused to describe his personal start or the team start of this season as bad, he insisted that the time is very early to issue any judgments and he only played one game, the one against Al Shaab, and only 17 minutes in the second match against Al Wasl when he had his injury and missed the third one against Al Shabab. And as for Al Jazira, Valdez said the team won their two away games and lost his home match against Al Wasl for some reasons known to everyone; he added that the weather conditions is not helping the players, specially the new signings, him and Barrada, to give their best, and he promised that the best is yet to come from the team and the players and they will keep collecting points from inside and outside Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium.

Worthy to be mentioned is that Valdez had suffered from a stretch in his right knee ligaments during the match against Al Wasl on 21st of last September, and the medical department announced that he will be missed for 3 weeks, meaning his chances of playing against Ajman are good.
