Zenga: Prejudices Cannot be Applied on Cup Ties

Walter Zenga assured that their victory over Al Wahda in the league will not affect in any way his team preparations for the next two teams match in the UAE President Cup, because this kind of matches cannot be affected by prejudices and cannot be decided by the teams’ positions in the league or any other competition.
While he was speaking to, the coach revealed that he decided to go to Al Ain city before 3 days of the match to give his players as much rest as possible, after they played a tough match in Dubai against Al Ahli in Thursday, then they returned to Abu Dhabi and trained there and left to Al Ain where they will face Al Wahda on Tuesday, before they go back to the capital to host Al Emirates on Saturday.
The coach insisted that he and his players forgot totally that they played against Al Wahda and beat them with 4 goals a few weeks ago, he assured that he will prepare his squad on a different basis and without considering their opponent latest negative results. 
Zenga stressed that Al Wahda will remain one of the biggest teams in UAE and they will always deserve a lot of respect. He also explained that Al Wahda has a physical advantage over Al Jazira because they played their league match earlier than Al Jazira by one day; but in return he promised that Al Jazira will fight to deny Al Wahda this physical advantage.
The Italian boss finished by assuring that playing against Al Wahda four times in this season will not ruin the excitement of this derby; he also expected the two teams will play to score, although this kind of matches is always affected by cautious and small details.
