Zenga Proud of His Players Reaction Against Al Ahli

Dubai: 7 December 2013
The team coach Walter Zenga expressed his proud feelings towards the reactions of his players during the complicated match they played against Al Ahli in the ninth round of the Arabian Gulf League, and their never-die attitude and their search for the equalizing goal until the last seconds of the second half.
The coach started the post-match press conference by saying that he is totally satisfied about his players and proud of their fighting spirit and the way they showed Al Jazira character during the last hard ten minutes of the match and after they conceded the second goal in the 90th minute. He stressed that the point they get from that match was well deserved considering their great disciplined defending and their never-die attitude.
The coach insisted that his team didn’t play against Al Ahli with pure defensive mind and they didn’t park the bus in front of Ali Khaseif post; he explained that he started the match with 3 attackers; Ricardo Oliveira, Ahmed Rabee and Nelson Valdez and with Abdulaziz Barrada to support them from behind. He justified that they went under pressure in the first half because it was normal from Al Ahli to rush forward because he is playing in front of his supporters, and because they had no other choice but attack after Al Jazira scored the first goal by Jumaa Abdullah.
The Italian admitted that there is a lot of hard work waits to be done, and the great performance against Al Ahli will only motivate them to work harder during the training sessions and matches; he also stressed that he still needs more time with the team because he only arrived before 1 month, and because injuries and national duties didn’t allow him to work with his full squad until now.
