Zenga: We Are Not Thinking About The First Place

Al Jazira coach Walter Zenga insisted that he and his players will keep their minds focusing on next match in the league, and they are not thinking at all in the first place after they minimize the difference between them Al Ahli to only 4 points, following their latest victory over Al Wasl in Dubai.
 
The coach spoke in the pre match press conference revealing that they expected a tough match against Al Wasl, especially in the first half, and that’s why they acted with calm and cold nerves and prevented their hosts from creating any real threat on Ali Khaseif goal.
 
In the second half, the coach added, Al Jazira was the better side and showed more desire in winning the game; they were so close from getting in front but Ali Mabkhout failed to put the ball into the goal when he went face to face with Al Wasl keeper. But at the end, they get rewarded and breached their opponents’ wall twice and won the match.
 
The Italian issued special praise for the new players Jucilei Da Silva and Felipe Caicedo, and explained that they help the team a lot to win this match, as the Brazilian showed great harmony with Khamis Ismail in the midfield, and the Ecuadorian playing with good understand with Mabkhout and Barrada though he just participated in only one training session with his new teammates.
 
The coach praised also his attacker Ali Mabkhout and described him again as one of the best players in UAE, and also explained that the special talent of Mabkhout makes him sometimes wasted some easy chances as he is always wants to score beautiful and special goals; on the other hand he insisted that Ali is still young and have a lot to learn and give for Al Jazira in the following years.
 
The boss refused to agree that the wasted penalty of Al Wasl give the advantage for Al Jazira; he insisted that his players desire and their fighting spirit was the only reasons behind their great performance and their return to Abu Dhabi with the three points.
 
Zenga finished the conference by stressing that getting close from the top place will not disperse their concentration and will not make them think about their chances of winning the league. He assured that the only thing in his mind and his players also their preparing with the best possible way for the next league match against Al Shabab.
