Ali Mabkhout scored a second-half penalty to hand Al Jazira a 1-0 hard-fought away win over Dibba in matchweek 14 of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.

Al Jazira broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when they have been awarded a penalty kick after Ali Mabkhout was brought down by Dibba’s defender Rashed Mohamed inside the penalty box, prompting the referee to point to the spot. The UAE’s all-time top scorer stepped up and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way to make it 1-0, securing the three points for his side.

The victory means Al Jazira jump to fourth place with 26 points, while Dibba remains bottom with only four points.
