Ahmed Alnaqbi rescued victory for Ittihad Kalba as his late 88th-minute goal snatched a win over Al Jazira in matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.

The visitors found the breakthrough and took the lead after just 6 minutes, when Leandro Spadacio Leite teed up Ahmed Alnaqbi inside the box, as the latter pounced with a low, right-footed finish into the bottom corner.

Four minutes before the two clubs headed to dressing rooms for the break, Al Jazira was awarded a penalty kick, and Ali Mabkhout stepped up and put the ball past Eisa Houti to hit the equalizer.

Two minutes from the time, Alnaqbi saved the three points when he towered above Al Jazira's defense to thump a brilliant header into the back of the net.

Ittihad Kalba jumped to the seventh spot with 20 points, while the Pride of Abu Dhabi is in sixth place with 23 points.
