Al Jazira vs. Ajman. ADNOC Pro League. Pre-match Press Conference
Abu Dhabi: Dec. 7, 2023
During this session with the mead, Frank de Boer, the coach of Al Jazira first team, stressed the importance of maintaining concentration during the 90 minutes of their upcoming League match against Ajman and described the opponent as a well-organized and tough-to-beat team.
Here are some of his quotes during the pre-match press conference.
Maintaining Focus against Ajman
“Preparations for the weekend match against Ajman are going well, and we are in a better place now after the last away big victory against Baniyas. We were good at that match because we maintained a high level of concentration during the two halves and we were effective in front of their goal, and we have to do the same on Friday against Ajman. We have a very good team and we are great individually and as a group, but we didn’t succeed at staying alerted and focused the whole time in the last matches, and when we improved this aspect in our performance we played better and won 4:1, and if we repeat that on Friday, we will have a bigger chance in defeating the opponent and win the three points”.
Look at the Opponent
“They are well-organized at the back and they improved noticeably in the last month and showed they are tough to beat. In the last four weeks of the League, they didn’t concede more than one goal per match, and they are desperate to win the three points against us to escape from the bottom place in the League table. We need to be more aggressive than them and we need to show desire and spirit because we also want to win the points and narrow the gap with the leading teams in the ranking”.
Fitness Update
“Aboubakr Kamara is not 100% fit yet to play matches, and Abdulla Al Attas will start his rehabilitation program after a successful knee surgery, and of course will give him all the support and time he needs to recover and return to the training field. Alejandro Pozuleo is training with us after recovering from a minor injury and his chances of playing against Ajman is very big now”.
