Ammouta: Al Jazira is Aiming for a Strong Start to the League
Abu Dhabi: Aug. 23, 2024
Lhoussaine Ammouta, the first team coach, expected their League opener against Baniyas to be difficult, and he insisted that his team is seeking to achieve a strong start by winning points in the match that will be hosted by Bani Yas Stadium next Saturday evening in the first round of the ADNOC Professional League.
“All teams are looking forward to a strong start in the league, and Al Jazira is no exception to this rule,” said Ammouta in the pre-match press conference. “The victory achieved in the first match of the season was important and gave us a morale boost, but we know that we will have to work to improve and perform better than we did in that match. We consider the three points of the Saturday match very important because it will improve the team's confidence, the club, and the fans as well."
"Some players suffered from some physical problems after the previous match against Al Bataeh, and fortunately their recovery may take only a few days. We have recovered some players who have returned from injury and have already joined the training, but they still need more time to reach the ideal level of physical fitness. I expect the team in general to be 100% ready in the coming period after the return of all the injured players and the completion of the squad."
"The match against Bani Yas will be difficult, like all derby matches. They achieved an important victory with four goals in the season's opening and will fight to win three points from the match held in their stadium and in front of their fans. We will be ready for them and well-prepared to deal with their attacking strength. We will work to make the difference by exploiting our strengths and everything that can give us a technical advantage over them during the match, whether the advantage is technical, physical or even mental."
“We have young players starting matches regularly, like Coulibaly, Rabie, Bruno and Richard, They started the match against Al Bataeh and performed well. We have other talented youngsters who are working hard and receiving all the support and help they need from us and from the management also, and we are expecting them to be more committed to the club’s project and be always ready to help the team, and we will always be present to help them develop themselves individually and collectively.”
