Keizer: Our Focus is on the President Cup Now

The coach of Al Jazira team Marcel Keizer insisted that his players are now focusing only on their next mission in the President Cup, where they will go back to Sharjah to battle the home team for a ticket to the Semifinals of the competition, only a few days from their last visit to the city where they came back from behind to beat this team 2:3 in the League.

Speaking to the media during the presser ahead of the Cup tie Marcel said “We go back to training today looking forward to the next match after forgetting all about our victory on Friday. We had one day to rest and today we will start working hard to prepare for the important match on Tuesday against the same opponent and again in their stadium”.

“We prefer to play many consecutive matches and we enjoy facing big teams, and my team showed they can fight to comeback after conceding an early goal and also showed they can fight to maintain their advantage until the end, and I am sure we will fight again on Tuesday to qualify to the next round of this important competition”.

“We still have 48 hours to assess the fitness situation of the players after the big effort they put in and all the injuries they picked against Sharjah, and then we will decide who’s going to start and who’s going to help us from the bench”.

“Sharjah is a very good team and I don’t think the result of Friday's match will have any influence on Tuesday's match. It’s a different match in a different competition and the margin of errors will be lesser so we will have to improve and never repeat the mistakes we did on Friday, and maintain a high level of concentration during the whole time of the match”.
