“Al Shabab is a very strong team, and they have many creative players in their squad who are capable of making the difference at any moment of the game. For me, they are better than Airforce, with all due respect to the Iraqi team who defeated us yesterday, because Al Shabab is playing in a stronger league and they have better local and foreign players. We also have winning cards in our lineup, and we will do our best to utilize these cards in the best possible way, to get a positive result against Al Shabab. We have to move on and forget what happened yesterday because we don’t have time to feel disappointed, and we will work on recovering physically and prepare well for the upcoming tough game”.
“Sunday’s game will be different than the one we played yesterday. It was very close encounter against Airforce and at the end it was decided by a corner kick, and I don’t believe the same will happen tomorrow. Al Jazira and Al Shabab prefers to possess the ball and pass and create chances, and we will not make any fundamental changes in our style of play, but we might alter thing or two to make sure we are well prepared to deal with Al Shabab threat”.
“We felt exhausted during the last 15 minutes against Airforce, and that’s why we couldn’t push harder up front to score more goals. There is also a gap between the starting 11 players and the youngsters in the deck, and this is also affecting and make our level drop down a little bit when we make changes at the final stages of the match. We will keep working to solve these issues, and we are very confident about the future of the kids we have at the bench and we know for sure that they will become better and more experienced in the near future”.
