Keizer: We will not underestimate any opponent in the President Cup

The coach of Al Jazira team Marcel Keizer insisted that his team will not underestimate any opponent they will face in the UAE President Cup, and the he expected a tough match against Gulf FC when the two teams compete on Wednesday for a ticket to the quarterfinal of the prestigious competition.

Speaking to the media about this match the Dutch coach said “We are preparing well for this match and we know that it will not be easy because all the teams are starting from the same line and sharing the same desire to reach the final and compete for the trophy. Knockout matches are different than the League’s and we will not underestimate Gulf FC because they are playing in first division. They have physically strong and fast players and they will try to make things difficult for us so we have to be efficient and do our best to score as early as we can from the chances we will create in front of their goal”.

“We still have two days to evaluate the fitness situation of the players and decide who will be in the match lineup. I have confidence in my team and I know whoever starts against Gulf FC will do his best to help us play to our best level and win this match because our target is to qualify to the next round and reach as far as possible in the Cup,” Marcel concluded.
